C. Brewer building looks more like an upscale house in Honolulu
C. Brewer Building

is simply the oldest American business
west of the Mississippi. It's founding father, captain James Hunnewell
was the first officer of the brig Thadeus, that brought
the first missionaries to Hawai'i. He bought the premises in 1826
for the whopping sum of $ 250. Captain James Brewer became a partner
in 1836 and eventually took over in 1843.
